![]() It was amazing how some games felt really snappy and responsive (Left 4 Dead 2 and Crysis 3) and I had zero trouble feeling like I was in control. I played Halo Reach and Halo 3 (the 360 backwards compatible titles), Left 4 Dead 2, Crysis 3, and Dishonored 2. Then I tried some other first person shooter 30fps only games. So I resigned to playing Starfield in third person. I should clarify that was for third person - for first person RDR2, I still found it cumbersome and unwieldy. ![]() I played RDR2 again, in third person and first person, and found that it was jarring at first, but after about 5 or 10 minutes, my brain adjusted and it was totally playable. ![]() I would load up quality mode of some games and think it just looked way too stuttery, try it for a minute, and then either switch to the performance mode or leave the game altogether.Īfter the Direct, I decided to sit down and more critically evaluate my response to 30fps games. I really enjoyed the higher framerates, and even started thinking I couldn't handle 30fps anymore. I get it if you genuinely can’t play 30fps games, and I feel for you.įor me, I’d gotten used to 60fps with my Series X, and even got my first taste of 120fps (I'm 100% just a console gamer). The 30fps thing is such a not big deal to me and I’m glad.
